I'm a bit of a coffee addict and can drink even in the summer but sometimes when it's really hot, you just can't face a hot drink and that's where a nice iced chilled latte comes in for me. Coconut water is another brilliant summer staple that's very cool and refreshing - combine the two and that's got to be a winner for me.
I've always bought Vita Coco but have until now only tried their fruited versions -combining coffee and coconut water whilst intriguing could also go horribly wrong and I struggled to imagine what this would taste like. Much as I love coconut water, I wanted an iced latte feel to this and wanted it to be like the nice chilled coffee drinks you can get.
The packaging as always with Vita Coco is just great. It stands out, is loud, colourful and reminds me of holidays. The 330ml cartons are always really nice to hold and drink from and perfect for carrying out and about whilst travelling. Opening it up it certainly smelt of coffee. The prime ingredient is coconut water at 53% followed by low fat milk (so this is one Vita Coco that isn't dairy free) and then a good shot of Espresso with 120mg of caffeine per carton. There is also a little added sugar just to balance out the acidity of the coffee.
Pouring it into a glass it doesn't look that attractive I'll admit. However, it tastes just lovely. The flavour was spot and tasted just like any other chilled coffee drink only a healthier one with considerably less sugar than the likes of Starbucks chilled drinks.
It has a lovely almost caramel sweetness that is quite faint and not sickly but works well against a very strong espresso hit. I drank this in the car on a hot morning and it was perfect giving me a cooling coffee boost.

Vita Coco Peach and Mango Coconut Water Review
Whilst I may be trying birch water nowadays, I still enjoy coconut water and vita coco is probably my most regularly bought brand - the lemonade one in particular is utterly delicious, very refreshing and zingy. Although this peach and mango one has been around for years now, I've only just got round to trying it.
There's not much point trying to convince you of the benefits of coconut water - you either love it's taste or you find it too earthy - although you can't knock its hydration and potassium benefits and it's certainly more delicious than water.
Simply coconut water, peach puree and mango puree with a little vitamin c, you expect it to be very tropical tasting and as always I love the vita coco packaging - it's just so colourful, cheering and makes me feel good just looking at it as it does to drink it.
This version has a more tropical taste and certainly seemed sweeter and more sticky than the other versions I've tried. You definitely get the mango taste with maybe a peach hint but you also get the taste of coconut water as the fruits don't override completely although they are pretty dominant.
The lemonade version is probably still my favourite but it's a nice refreshing drink as good after the gym or a run as it is sat outside on a hot day.

Vita Coco Lemonade
I've recently started drinking more and more coconut water, using it as a post-exercise drink. I find it very refreshing and a bit more substantial than water due to the potassium and minerals it contains. Vita coco is a brand I really like. I love the cool, funky packaging with its bright, loud colours and tropical theme.
However, coconut water is not for everyone and some people find the taste quite offputting and strange. This Lemonade flavoured coconut water might be something that appeals to those who think they dislike coconut water. Like all Vita Coco bottles, this has a really modern design that leapt off the shelf and really stood out.
Pouring it out into a glass, it had a really inviting golden glow - it didn't look watery or weak but really fruity and refreshing. A lovely lemony scent could very easily be smelt and it did smell quite similar to the still lemonades you can buy from the juice aisles in the supermarkets.
Gulping the liquid down, I felt instantly more energised and hydrated. The lemon flavour is quite dominant masking the usual coconut water flavour you get. However, the coconut flavour is still present with the aftertaste for a nice little hit of tropical flavour too. If you think you don't like coconut water, you might well like this as it offers all the health benefits but with a less powerful taste.
The water was very drinkable indeed and I really enjoyed its sweet, zingy taste.
Price: £1.69 for 330ml
Available: Major supermarkets
Pros: Refreshing, full of minerals and vitamins, lovely flavour, not as strong as standard Vita Coco
Cons: Only available in small 330ml bottles - a larger bottle would be ideal
Score: 8/10
